Our Founder | Leo J. Hauguel, CISSP, NSA-IAM

Our founder is Leo J. Hauguel, CISSP, NSA-IAM. He founded the Sonoran Desert Security User Group (SDSUG) in 2001. It is the longest‑standing security community in Arizona, based in Phoenix, Arizona.

Leo is an Adjunct Instructor in the IT/Business Department at Glendale Community Colleges in Glendale, Arizona since January 2014. He is also the Owner and President at LJH Security Consulting Services

He has over 50+ years of IT experience and 40+ years of experience in IT Security. Leo was an internal Information Security Consultant for Wells Fargo for 10 and a half of those years.

He also has experience with the ACF2, TOP SECRET, and RACF, as well as LAN/WAN, Wireless, and cybersecurity. He maintains an up-to-date knowledge of emerging technologies, as well as risk and compliance.

In addition to his work in security and technology, Leo is a dedicated supporter of several community impact organizations.
